一、GRE 單字記憶法總論

1.1 為什麼不能用傳統方法背 GRE 單字?

傳統的背單字方式(看英文→背中文意思)對 GRE 完全行不通,原因有三:

  1. GRE 不考翻譯:你不需要把英文翻成中文,而是需要在學術語境中理解詞的 nuance(細微差異)
  2. GRE 考的是詞的「方向」和「程度」:TC 和 SE 需要你判斷空格處是正面還是負面、是輕度還是重度
  3. 容易混淆:很多 GRE 單字長得很像但意思完全不同(ingenious vs. ingenuous)——死背中文解釋反而讓你搞混。
